RUNES
RUNES ORACLE

The runes are one of the oldest writings in the world. Far from simple letters or strokes, they are sacred symbols through which contact with the Divine dimension is established.
WHAT ARE THEY AND WHAT IS THEIR ORIGIN?

Within the Viking culture, one of its most mysterious elements are the runes. This is due to the scarcity of sources and their difficult interpretation. The runes are the written language, not only of the Vikings, but of a large part of the Germanic cultures that populated Europe in the ancient and middle ages.
Viking runes are a method of divination and a magical ritual tool of great antiquity. They first appeared as an alphabet between the 1st and 2nd centuries AD.

The first, original and oldest known alphabet is the "ancient Futhar" which was used in the 3rd to 8th centuries AD by the Germanic and Scandinavian peoples. It was known only by a minority, which led them to acquire a certain reputation of secrecy.

The ancient Futhark oracle consists of 24 pieces with one rune inscribed on each, plus a blank one. At that time, they used materials from nature that were within reach, therefore the runic symbols could be inscribed on pieces of wood, stones, crystals, shells, metal, clay or bones.

More than just a group of symbols to write, since their origin until this very day, the runes have a strong magical and mysterious connotation. In fact, the word “Rune” means “whisper, secret, mystery”.
Every rune has its own name, and is given a concrete meaning and a potential for psychological and spiritual development.

The meaning of the ruins was given to few people, which contributes even more to it being an occult and arcane science. It was used by individuals with power in the Nordic and Viking communities to receive guidance in difficult decisions. In addition, it was used as a magical resource for prophecy, divination, magical seals, protections spells. It was even used to ward off disease and for healing.

MYTHOLOGY

Despite everything that is known, the origin of the runes is still quite uncertain. Still, there is an ancient legend, collected in the Poetic Edda1, that tells of their origin. According to this, the runes do not have an earthly origin, but are from the supernatural and divine. They were discovered by Odin himself, God of Gods. He observed the 9 worlds from his throne, and he could see everything and everyone, however there was something that escaped his sight: the future.
Odin wanted to have absolute knowledge and wisdom. Reflecting, he realized that in order to obtain knowledge and wisdom, a sacrifice had to be made. Therefore, if he wanted all knowledge, then the sacrifice must be enormous. For this, he decided to sacrifice himself to himself. He stabbed himself with his spear and hung upside down from the great Ash tree for 9 days and 9 nights, during which time he did not eat or drink anything. The only thing he could do was to know himself and look inside himself, which allowed him to advance in his most internal and intimate space and grow as a spiritual being. In that instance, the runes revealed themselves to him and he fell from the tree.

1 A collection of poems written in Old Norse originally preserved in the medieval Icelandic manuscript known as the Codex Regius. Along with the Prose Edda, the Poetic Edda is the most important extant source on Norse mythology and Germanic heroic legends.

For this reason, the runes are not only a means of divination, but they are also a wonderful tool for personal growth and connection with the “I”.’
EVOLUTION TO THE PRESENT

Although the true origin of the Viking runes is not fully known, what is verifiable is that the runes have been used for at least 1,800 years, as we can see them engraved on a multitude of ancient objects. Some examples that these Nordic civilizations left us were engravings on rings, swords, coins and even on rocks that served to transmit simple messages.
Although clerics and sorcerers used the runes to create talismans with divine characters, things became more hidden centuries later when the Roman Christians enslaved and disrupted these lands and their people along with their beliefs. The runes remained underground, being considered by Christianity as pagan.

For this reason, with the arrival of the inquisition in the Middle Ages they were prohibited, labeling these rites as a sacrilege against the church.

Even in Iceland in the Middle Ages, possession of runes carried a death penalty similar to the death penalty for "witchcraft" in the rest of Europe. That made them fall into obscurity and their use practically disappeared.

They resurfaced again, unfortunately for their reputation, with the rise of the Nazi empire when they used one of them as an identifying symbol. They misappropriated the tradition and tried to pervert its meaning in pursuit of their goals. As history has already shown, one does not play with these symbols, and even less so for purposes far from Love.

Currently, runes commonly appear in modern popular culture. There are several appearances referring to them in written language and pop culture. Movies (Harry Potter), series (Stargate SG-1), music bands (Ledd Zeppelin), are examples of this.

Even the Bluetooth logo is the conjunction of two Futhark runes, Hagall and Berkana, equivalent to the letters "H" and "B", which are the initials of the name of Harald Blåtand (called "bluetooth" in English), who was the king of Denmark in the Viking Age.
“When I first cast the runes, it was like riding a roller coaster.
I feel that they contributed to my self-confidence.
Knowing that I have the assistance and protection of the guides.
Something that sometimes I need to know.
They were readings that went hand in hand with my processes.
They gave clarity and above all power, power for myself.
The recommendation that I would give to someone who is starting on the path of awakening,
it is not an easy road, they are painful but if we know how to ask, help will come.
There are no magic answers, it is how we decide that the information will affect us.
And what do we do when we have that information.
I hope they start this way.
And let it be hand in hand with the readings of this beautiful friend who is Estefania.”

RECOMMENDATIONS

If you decided to choose the runes as a medium for divination, congratulations! It is a great experience to receive. I wanted to make sure that you have a few things clear.
-
All responses will be more precise if the questions are precise
Don’t worry if you don’t know how to form the questions because I can help you. I only write this so that we take account for the fact that it is necessary to narrow it down to the most concrete question possible.
-
The decision at the end of the day is always yours
It is good to remember that, whatever your guides advise through this oracle, these wonderful beings always respect your free will. Therefore, if some of the information does not resonate with your heart, you want to continue experiencing what you are going through, you aren’t ready to make the change that the guide urges you to make or if the decision you make is opposite to what they advise you, that it is your free will. You must also take into account your own intuition and inner wisdom that in the end is always within your reach.
-
Respect the act of asking a question and receiving the information
Hand in hand with the previous point, it should be remembered that each reading is a sacred act and, if every time you do a reading you choose the path that you want to take without integrating the advice that the Divine guide gives you, then it is good to be aware that you are probably wasting valuable wisdom that comes down especially for you from The Highest Power in the Universe. It is important to take the act of approaching to ask the Divine Beings who assist and care for you with great reverence and thank them for this act of responding to your request, through the act of listening and receiving their advice and answers.

-
I always recommend to take notes for anything you consider important
Like I explained above in the description of what the ruins are, this oracle is more than responding to questions. It encompasses the spiritual, mental and emotional growth of your being. Therefore, each answer is tied to personal advice and is often a lot of information to receive. It is best to record the oracle so you can calmly listen to the recording later.

-
Sometimes the runes tell us things that we don’t want to hear
Remain as receptive as possible, because the messages can be strong, direct, and precise. They are what we need to hear, whether we like it or not. Sometimes it’s difficult to assimilate the truth but we know it is pure healing. The runes tell us the truth in the face without much detour. So stay in an attitude of openness and trust.

-
The truth exists in your Being
This powerful tool for connecting with the Divine is available, like many others, at times when we need clarity, guidance, and wisdom. It should also be noted that the ideal is to have these tools as an option that adds to your own connection with the Divine, in order to receive guidance, clarity, and answers through your own channel. Of course, resorting to an external tool does not detract from your spiritual evolution, but constantly falling into them, as a dependency in the face of each decision or conflict, is an extreme that will not contribute to your own growth either. The idea of this oracle is to contribute to your own spiritual benefit. So remember, everything in its fair measure. Also, the answers are always in you, and only by polishing your connection to Source can you access them.

“As it was my first rune casting, I had all the uncertainty of what message they were going to give me.
The answer was beautiful and precise, with the right words
as if I were describing every single thing that happens to me today.

They gave me tools to be able to focus my energy and
face my days, my life in a different way.
If you want a concrete and loving message,
Fany and her runes are the best decision.”
